Myk Baxter Marketing : Proud To Be British

As we celebrate the Platinum Jubilee and Her Majesty’s 70-year reign of sitting on the throne, we today at Myk Baxter Marketing want to highlight how proud we are to be British.

In the following article, we look back on our achievements over the last twelve years & delve into our experiences of working with some of the country’s biggest businesses.

A Little Insight Into The Agency

Located in the heart of Darlington, County Durham & fronted by one of the UK’s leading digital marketing consultants, Myk Baxter, MBM UK is dedicated to supporting businesses from right across the country with their digital marketing & web development efforts. We even believe that the Queen herself would give them a royal stamp of approval should she one day need a new website for Buckingham Palace (hehe!).

As a little back story, our small boutique agency came from an idea Myk had whilst living in Dubai back in 2008. From here, the idea became a reality in 2010 upon the opening of our offices in Newton Aycliffe.

During this time, he read a book titled The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris, which explores the topics of being more productive, how to reduce cost & how to improve profit within your business.

Sadly & shortly after reading the book, Myk lost his dear Mum & with two events combined he decided to move to Thailand in 2011 where he remotely managed MBM UK.

Due to this decision, we as an agency lost a few team members, but in the same breath, this allowed us to recruit & build a team of professionals who aren’t necessarily based in the North East of England. However, they are extremely passionate about what they do & we are incredibly proud of their achievements.

Following the success of the UK agency, MBM Asia was launched in 2012 & ran very strong until June 2018. In the same year, Myk himself decided to move back to the UK & has lived here full-time ever since.

Throughout MBM’s successful region, we have become a dedicated outsourcing partner for Gecko Digital, a London-based company that provides hotel-based virtual reality. In September 2018 we also became a partner for Elementary Digital, one of the UK’s biggest WordPress agencies with whom we have a very strategic working relationship.

With a successful hattrick, in 2019, we also became a partner of Visualsoft, which is one of the biggest eCommerce agencies in the UK.

Unlike most agencies, we have been working remotely long before COVID-19 hit the globe, and during this time we turned over more than we had done in the previous five years combined.

Due to our passion & expertise, we’ve had the pleasure of working with numerous companies, who like us are deeply rooted in British heritage & have made a great impact in their industries. From restaurant pioneers to expert interior designers, to a best-selling gluten-free health food company, we’ve put our stamp on every sector.

Let’s take a closer look at the brands that we’ve helped.

Tomahawk Steakhouse

As every steak lover’s dream, Tomahawk Steakhouse opened its first restaurant back in 2017 in Potto, North Yorkshire.

Since then, nine more venues have popped up across the country, as well as three Rio Brazilain Steakhouses –  all of which have received rave reviews due to their impeccable food, incredible service & all-around great vibe. Myk himself even says there’s no place quite like it & we agree!

We assisted founder Howard Eggleston & his team with the expansion of their digital marketing in the latter half of last year & since then they’ve announced the opening of six more venues this Summer including one in Saltburn by the Sea – one of MBM’s favourite coastal spots.

Congratulations guys!

Lounge & Linger

Founded by British-Lebanese Designer, Soraya Halabi, Lounge & Linger was born from the desire to provide the creative industries with beautifully designed decor & interiors, as well as furniture.

Following their launch in 2014, they have since built up an impressive client portfolio including; Claridges, Soho House, Mandarin Oriental, The V&A & Harpers Baazar. They also provided decor & props for the smash-hit movie Mamma Mia – Here We Go Again. Their designs & pieces are truly fit for a dancing queen!

We continue to work closely with the L&L since building their website in 2021, & we already predict that the next few months are going to be huge for the brand.

Delicious Alchemy

Based in the wonderful city of Sheffield, Delicious Alchemy is changing the game when it comes to healthy food with its range of products created specifically for coeliacs, gluten-free converts & all-around foodies.

From quick & easy baking mixes to delicious breakfast options, we can confirm that every item available is simply delicious & are ideal for those with busy lifestyles.

Overall, Myk Baxter Marketing is continuing to come on leaps & bounds & although Myk himself has lived internationally during our history, England will always be our home & we’ll always be proud to be British. We hope just like her majesty, to continue our reign of being one of the UK’s leading digital marketing agencies.

& finally, to our readers, we wish you a wonderful bank holiday & hope you thoroughly enjoy the jubilee celebrations (as well as the Pimms and scones!)
