Gearing up Your SEO for Autumn/Winter 2022

Author: Myk Baxter

Can you believe that there are only four months left of 2022? Crazy times!

And whilst I wish the glorious sunshine could last all year round it’s now prime time for business owners to prepare for their biggest seasons; Autumn and Winter. Before you know it the end-of-season sales, Black Friday weekend & Christmas (yes, I just dropped the C bomb in July!) will be a matter of weeks away. So now is the time to make sure your SEO strategy is the strongest it can be.

As a helpful guide in preparation for the next few months, today I share my recommendations on how to climb to the top of the search engine rankings.

Fix your Meta Data – In short, your metadata is what helps you to be picked up by Google & climb up the rankings, therefore it’s valuable that this is of the highest quality it can be. You want to make sure that your meta titles & descriptions accurately reflect your page content, have unique elements & are both brief & descriptive.

Carry Out Keyword Research  The key to creating great content, whether it may be body text or meta can only be done by carrying out keyword research. Through the Google Keyword Research Tool, you can identify the best words & phrases based on your offering, see an insight into their traction & then embed them deep into your content.

Social media can actually help – In summary, the more visible you are online, the stronger your SEO presence will be. So get those Facebook & Instagram channels set up & utilise them. Create great content that is engaging, visually appealing & informative to your audience & publish consistently. You’ll be seen as a more reliable & trustworthy source. & don’t forget to use your targeted keywords as hashtags!

SEO Audit – Running an SEO audit is a great way of ensuring no stone is left unturned when it comes to ensuring your website is able to trail through the results, & I can help produce one for you. Including my own technical guidance, your bespoke document will include the best resolutions & recommendations on breadcrumb navigation, image ALT tags & internal linking, to name just a few.
