Introducing LinkedIn SEO Tools For Articles

As I’ve touched on before, LinkedIn is a great place for business owners and consultants alike to be.

I’ve made many great connections throughout my career due to the platform, have shared my triumphs and also learnt a lot about my industry through the articles shared by others.

Now, LinkedIn is making it easier for you to gain traction on your articles through their new SEO tools, alongside introducing better content display options, and newsletter features.

These new tools are dedicated to helping you share stand-out content and reach more people.

You can customise your LinkedIn articles so they appear in search engines by changing the SEO title and description, making them easier to find.

Alongside this, LinkedIn is granting users new ways to show off the best of their profile and acquire more newsletter subscribers.

Let’s get into looking at the new features more closely.

Improved SEO for LinkedIn Articles

LinkedIn is allowing you to expand your network and audience by allowing you to change the SEO of the titles and descriptions of the articles you share.

To do so, you can go to any of your articles and click the “publishing” menu and head to “settings”.

You should then see text boxes where you can change the SEO title and description.

This feature grants you the ability to optimise your content and be found for specific keywords.

Showcase Your Best Work

You can soon expect to display different types of content inside the Activity section of your profile.

The update will let you highlight imagery, videos, newsletter or documents all from within the same section.

You’ll also be able to choose which content you want to display, allowing you to put your best foot forward!

This update is set to be available in the coming weeks.

A New Central Location For Analytics & Creation Tools

LinkedIn is introducing a central location for analytics and creation, making it easier for you to create content and measure your performance levels.

You can access this new feature by turning on creator mode and selecting “analytics and tools” at the top of your profile on both mobile and desktop.

Boosting Your Newsletter’s Reach & Discovery

It’s now possible to schedule newsletters and articles on LinkedIn, making it simpler for you to plan ahead with content and share it at the best times.

Make the most of this feature by tapping the “schedule” button on the share box and simply select the date and time you wish for it to go live.

Additionally, LinkedIn has produced a one-click subscribe URL and an embeddable button with the goal of helping newsletter authors find the correct audience.

This grants existing and potential readers subscribers access to newsletters directly from Linkedin or other shareable platforms.

Finally, LinkedIn is amplifying newsletter discovery by making them more visible within the SERPS (search results).

Users searching for specific newsletter authors will see the newsletters under their names within the results.

Overall

LinkedIn’s new tools have two key goals: to help users stand out and reach a greater audience.

Through the ability to customise the SEO title and description of your LinkedIn articles, you can optimise your content – improving its visibility in search engines.
