After a manic few months, I decided a few weeks ago that it was time for an impromptu exit from the UK where I could continue to work on growing my business, network with some brilliant entrepreneurs, catch up with a best friend and of course, relax. And there was the only place where I knew I could make this happen – Barcelona. 

So I packed my bags, and headed out on a flight from Manchester Airport to spend a few days in a city that’s packed with culture and individuals who I knew would inspire me to be positive and encourage me to crack on. 

Now I don’t know about you, but I believe that the best business meetings always happen over fantastic food, and my words remain true after I met with the inspirational Debbie Rocket at Honest Greens – one of the best producers of organic & healthy breakfasts.

I have known Debbie for some years now and have always been inspired by Debbie’s work ethic, her personal journey to becoming a digital nomad & the way that she’s developed herself into a businesswoman by launching her virtual assistant academy.

From corporate control to digital nomad, Debbie has completely transformed her personal and professional world in the last 4 years which I massively admire having lived abroad working remotely. 

 In September 2018, Debbie made a decision that would change the trajectory of her life – after 5 years of working in the Marketing team at two of the world’s most prestigious Private Members’ Clubs and living in London, she quit it all. A career that looked great on the outside, a steady income, home and lifestyle.

Debbie embarked on a journey of personal development, and self-love and tapped into her faith to set up as a freelancer after returning to her roots in the North East of England. 

Using her knowledge of marketing from her Marketing & Management degree and 10 years of professional experience, Debbie became a Marketing Freelancer and Virtual Assistant. In the past 4 years, she has worked with over 15 clients – from incredible Hay House Authors and coaches to international wellness retreats and wellness brands. And, around Covid Debbie managed to work remotely in Australia, Bali and Europe, and has now set up home permanently in Barcelona.

Having learnt so much about systems, strategies, tools and the mindset necessary to become a successful Marketing Virtual Assistant, Debbie now helps women ( and men ) access a toolkit that can set themselves free too – via The ROCKET VA™ Academy. 

 Debbie realised that life should be written on our terms – not our parents’, teachers’ or society’s expectations. So she’s here to show you how to write your own rules, create the business and life of your dreams and feel GREAT along the way!
