An Insight Into: The Global Icons Using Shopify

There is no denying that Shopify is an excellent eCommerce platform. Since 2004, they’ve made developing an eCommerce store a straightforward process, with certain elements only taking a few minutes to set up. And within a couple of weeks, you can have your own store online.

With over 500,000 active stores, they have helped skyrocket some of the globe’s leading retailers, touching almost every sector and collectively driving more than 40 billion in sales.

Today on eCommerce Expert I take a look at some of the best Shopify stores with the hope that it will drive some inspiration for your own and also share how I, Myk Baxter can help build it from the ground up.

Let’s get into it,

Gymshark

What is now one of the most recognizable fitness brands began from a garage in Birmingham back in 2012, with nothing more than a screen printer and a sewing machine. But with plenty of ambition from the founder, Ben Francis, Gymshark has accumulated 5.8 million Instagram followers and has a customer base across 230 countries thanks to its 14 online stores.

The website’s clean design showcases Gymshark’s fitness wear at its best, and with a faultless user journey, it’s no surprise their online customer base is growing by the day.

Seedlip

As the World’s 1st distilled non-Alcoholic spirits brand, Seedlip has changed the way so many of us around the globe drink.

Founder, Ben Branson prides himself on working with the natural world to continue this revolutionary change by using sustainable packaging and natural ingredients to create his range of delicious & sophisticated distillates.

With a straightforward shopping experience, the Seedlip website showcases the brands’ English heritage and even an online cocktail library.

Sunglass Hut

Sunglass Hut has been at the forefront of the luxury eyewear world since 1971, with a humble start as a kiosk in a Miami mall.

Today it stocks leading brands such as Ray-Ban, Prada, and Gucci from within their 3,000 stores across the globe and their online store – where style and sophistication are at the heart of every asset.

Frank Body

Humour, wit, and fun all come together to pull in customers’ attention over on the Frank Body website.

A hit with the influencer world, Frank Body started with the mission of removing the hyperbole enriched in the skincare industry and making clean skincare enjoyable. Stemming from a simple coffee scrub, their play-on-words range now covers you from head to toe.

Their site ticks almost every box for the perfect eCommerce store, including; offering buy now pay later options, an easy-breezy checkout process, and even a rewards-point system, fittingly named Hotel Pink.

OUAI

Founded by celebrity hairstylist, Jen Atkin in 2016, OUAI again is a huge hit with the influencer community –  thanks to a certain famous family where the letter K is involved.

High-quality product imagery is at the forefront of the website, with the navigation menu and text sitting around it, even though there is very little of it. But with 2.1 million Instagram followers, nothing much needs to be said about this clean-aesthetic haircare brand.

But, customer experience plays a key role in the website experience with a ‘Find Your Quai’ quiz providing personalized service.
